STATEMENT
My work is the result of a need to capture an experience or moment, be it in painting, photography or other media, a need that I attempt to balance between passion and discipline.
Most of my paintings are the result of tension between the abstract and the real, a constant battle where the result is not always what was anticipated. Every painting takes a life of its own as strokes, lines, rhythms, patterns and colors come together connecting to their final destination.
Although I consider myself mostly a painter and sculptor, I am not confined to one style, or medium or subject matter; for life in its wonderful diversity is the inspiration for my work.
